COACHING:
Head Wrestling Coach Lincoln Middle School Edwardsville (2015-Present)
I began my Coaching career at a young age, helping to developa kids club while I was still in High School. Once I was done wrestling competitively, I helped with a kids club in St. Louis for a year. I took a break for a few years while I finished school and worked. A few years ago I was invited to help with the Edwardsville Freestyle Program and rediscovered my love for the sport and coaching. I have continued with that and began coaching with Edwardsville Wrestling Club (EWC) last season which then led me to the opportunity to take over at Lincoln Middle School.
PERSONAL:
I am from St. Louis, MO where I attended Hazelwood Central High School. There I was a 4 year letter winner, qualifying for State 3 years and placing 6th as a Junior. From High School, I went on to continue my wrestling career at SIUE where I started as a Freshman. After my Freshman year I suffered from back issues and was forced to hang up my shoes. I stepped away from wrestling for a few years before being invited back to help with Quest Freestyle Club. Since then I have become more and more involved every year and also go involved with Edwardsville Wrestling Club (EWC).
I decided that I needed to make wrestling and working with these kids my life's work so I enrolled in McKendree's Masters of Special Education Program in the Summer of 2015. When I was approached about the Lincoln Head Coaching poisition, I quit my office job and jumped at the chance. I have never been happier. I currently live in Edwardsville with my girlfriend, Brittany, and our dog Stella.
